Okay so Edith Piaf has me feeling romantic and cynical which I’m pretty sure was her goal?
And I clench my fists
Cursing the crowd that robs me
Of the man that it had given me
And that I never found again
Et je crispe mes poings
Maudissant la foule qui me vole
L'homme qu'elle m'avait donné
Et que je n'ai jamais retrouvé
My family has been playing her music for as long as I can remember. She makes me feel like I’m walking through Paris in the 50’s and that’s something I can get into. It feels like a big event whenever I hear her music because growing up we’d always have it playing in the background at parties and dinners.
Now, when I’m getting ready in the morning I like to blast my Edith Piaf playlist and drink a cup of coffee.
Here are a few songs from my morning playlist:
Hymne a L’amour
Emmenez Moi (Charles Aznavour is on this playlist also and I love this song)
