It's so cold here in Utah. So we decided to make the best of it and head up to the Ice Castles! It was beautiful. The soundtrack to the movie Frozen was playing (amazing), little kids were running around in snow suits and we were freezing cold. I don't know why I didn't think it would be that cold, it's an ice castle. Why Kenza, Why?!
I wasn't totally sure what to wear, I knew I wanted to look cute but as always warmth is the primary concern. So! I threw on my trusty Carhartt beanie, dug my Sorels (finally) out of the back of my closet and put on my long North Face jacket, tossed all my belongings into my Longchamp bag and we hit the road! If you're ever in the area during this time seriously check it out! They sell hot cocoa, cinnamon buns, and 'homemade cookies'. But obviously I was more interested in sitting on the ice throne. Yes. Ice throne.
Today I was really grateful for snow and the cold weather. Although I wish I had worn another pair of socks and Kristian's ears were practically frozen at the end of the visit, it was so fun and such a great experience! Plus, walking around an actual ice castle with the Frozen soundtrack blasting sort of fulfilled an ice princess dream I've had since I was little!
