I've definitely got this pregnancy and my future baby on my mind, as evidenced by this list of items. But can you blame me? Forgive me if this list is a little heavy on the prenatal products. I'm just so excited I can finally talk about this stuff with you all! *Disclaimer: Amazon affiliate links used.*
Joco16oz Glass Reusable Coffee Cup — I think these are the cutest coffee cups ever. They come in all different colors and even though I'm not drinking coffee right now, I would drink all the peppermint and ginger tea in the world in this little guy.
Le Creuset Enamel-on-Steel Demi 1 1/4 quart Teakettle — I scored a really pretty mint green version of this tea kettle on Gilt about 2 years ago, and I left it in Slovenia so I definitely feel like another one is in my future. This is one of those splurges that I feel is worth it because I smile when I use it everyday and it makes a pretty statement on my stove. Lots of cool colors available, but I'm digging this flame color!
Speck Candyshell Case for iPhone 6 and 6S — Unfortunately my unlocked European iPhone did not work with my new Verizon plan in the states, so I had to get a new phone. I got a pretty rose-gold iPhone 6S and it feels almost a shame to cover it up with a case, so I ordered this clear but sturdy case. Maybe I'm a little too excited?
Motherlove Pregnant Belly Salve — I've had a flat stomach all my life, no matter how much weight I've ever gained. And now I'm a little unnerved (though totally excited and thankful) that this belly of mine is starting to stick out. I've got a few stretch marks on my thighs from growing to 6 feet and given the fact that my husband was 11 pounds when he was born, I want to be prepared for the possibility of a lot more on my belly. I've heard great things about this brand and the lavender and chamomile scent sounds divine. I'll report back once I've tried it.
The Baby Owner's Manual — Even though I practically raised my sister and I read What to Expect When You're Expecting cover to cover at age 7, everything I've ever known about babies and pregnancy went right out the window as soon as I found out I was pregnant. The fear and worry set in immediately and I can't help but wonder sometimes what the heck I'm going to do when I actually have my baby on this earth. I'm thinking a little light reading and research might help ease my nerves. But I'm actively trying to stay away from online research because there is too much information out there. This book looks sweet.
Thorne Research Basic Prenatal — My friend Morgan recommended this prenatal vitamin to me and although the capsules themselves are pretty big, I've had almost no problem taking them (as long as I don't take them on an empty stomach). All the research I've done leads me to believe this is a very, very good prenatal vitamin. And I don't know if it's the prenatals or the pregnancy or a combination of both but my nails and skin have never looked so good.
Essential Oil Diffuser and Cool Mist Humidifier — This thing has been on my wish list FOREVER. I'm dying to get it. I definitely need to create some kind of a ritual for when I get overwhelmed and stressed about certain things. Do you guys have/use a diffuser or humidifier? Any recommendations?
Calia Hair Care — Ever since I watched Holistic Habits' video on her favorite hair care products (and have you seen that amazing hair?) I've been wanting to try out this brand. I used pregnancy as an excuse to go organic and try it out and I am really really happy with the results so far. I LOVE the smell of this stuff. I don't know that I'll ever go back.
Himalayan Salt Candle Holder — This goes along with the essential oil diffuser on my list of things I need to help myself calm down when I get overwhelmed, like when I think about how I need a job, a house, all the baby things, my husband, oh and to take the drivers test again. I don't want to talk about that, though. My point is, sometimes all it takes is for me to light a candle and I'm all better. I especially love using himalayan salt candle holders and lamps because they have a purifying effect on the air.
